In the conference participate: officers of Georgian ministries, representatives of the Tibilisi self-government, Mtscheta-Mtianeti and Kremo Kartli Regions, self-government associations and universities.
Within two days experts from Wielkopolska, Mr Grzegorz Bykowski, Deputy Director of the Economy Department of the Marshal Office of the Wielkopolska Region, Mr Piotr Nowak from the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing in Poznań and the representatives of the Wielkopolska Region Information Office in Brussels - Ms Monika Kapturska (Director) and Ms Anna Wąsowicz, will carry out workshops to acquaint Georgian officers with the possibilities of obtaining EU Funds within the European Neighbourhood Policy Instrument and other EU Programmes. Exemplary projects will be presented as well as the methodology of their preparation. The participants will also have the opportunity to learn about new initiatives of the European Neighbourhood Policy – Eastern Partnership and Black Sea Synergy. Functioning and system of the EU, decision-making procedures in the EU and procedures of laying down new law also will be shown.
Crucial for the workshop is a handbook “European Neighbourhood Policy – the possibilities for Georgian self-governments of co-financing projects from the EU Funds” elaborated by the Wielkopolska Region Information Office in Brussels and translated into Georgian and English.
An event summarising the „REGIO-TAMAR” project will be a conference organized by Marek Woźniak, President of the Wielkopolska Region, Vice-President of the Committee of the Regions and President of the Polish delegation to the Committee of the Regions, that will be held on 2nd of December in the Committee of the Regions. Among those invited to take part in the conference are representatives of the EU Institutions, Polish and Georgian Diplomatic Corps, Members of the Parliaments and Georgian politicians.
